About Driversity

1994 – 1999
In 1994, Driversity was born. We created the business concept and driver education courses that would be embraced by California’s teenagers and parents. The curriculum was developed and first training car purchased with our humble savings. Official licensing obtained and classrooms in Dublin and San Leandro established. Driversity quickly outgrew the locations in both Dublin and San Leandro. New facilities were obtained to accommodate full classes. Additional instructors were hired to conduct the lessons. The Concord location was born in 1997. In 1999, Driversity™ opens its first location in Antioch, California.

2000 – 2009
Having survived Y2K, teenagers continued to make Driversity their number one choice for learning driver education and training. Our success is based on a simple concept; A good service for a good price. We are continually grateful to our instructors and our incredible students. In 2003 we created our fleet training program. We created training programs for employers. In 2004, Driversity™ implements an online scheduling system for students, parents, and Driversity Staff. It is the first of its kind and certainly the first driving school to implement it. Rainy Robinson, co-founder of Driversity publishes her book, Front Seat Driver for parents and teens in 2007. While certainly far from a best seller, the book is funny and contains advice for teens and parents. We continually search for innovative ways to implement both driver education and training.

2010 – Present
Driversity continues to support high schools and various programs for its students benefits. In 2011 Driversity combats the effects of the economy, like all Americans. Much is done to assist struggling students and parents. Driversity Driving School donates nearly $30,000 in good and services to Contra Costa County high schools, PTAs, and various fund raisers. While many things have changed over they years, one thing remains the same. We are grateful to our students and parents that have continued to support their local business. In addition to our philanthropic endeavors, we reach a very important milestone. We now have the children of our students taking our courses! We are and remain incredibly grateful for the community support, the support of parents and students.
